My America
My America is a collection of photographs that begin in the early 1970’s. It represents the America that I have witnessed and experienced. It was incorporated into a broader Spirit of America exhibit presented by the Southampton Cultural Center in Southampton NY.
Words Fail
Words Fail is a photographic exhibition primarily exploring the search for loved ones lost in the attacks on the two World Trade Center buildings in NYC. I followed this theme from approximately 9/13/2001 through April 2002, when the last beam was removed from Ground Zero.
The exhibition has been presented at the Centennial Park Gallery at the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee; the Helen Brogan Gallery in Tallahassee, Florida; Downstate University, Brooklyn, NY; and other smaller venues.
It is available to be rented and utilized to continue to remember the tragedy of 9/11 and to honor the memory of those lost, injured, and those who continue to suffer from 9/11-related illnesses.
Meet The Street
Meet the Street is a collection of street photography created between 1972 and 1992. Its premiere exhibition was presented at the Centennial Park Gallery at the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee, where it gained significant community attention. It was featured in The Tennessean and local newspapers and was covered by the local CBS affiliate on both its morning and evening news broadcasts. The exhibition was subsequently presented in New York City at the Polina Reiloff Gallery with similar fanfare.
The photographs are accompanied by Richard's short, often humorous reflections on the people and moments captured in the images. These reflections later became the basis for the Meet the Street hardcover book.
Following these venues, Meet the Street was presented at Ashawagh Hall in East Hampton, as well as smaller venues including the Rockville Centre Library and local senior centers. Most recently, it was exhibited in 2024 at the Southampton Cultural Center, where it attracted a broad audience and received significant positive feedback. The exhibition was covered in local newspapers and led to invitations to return in 2025 and again in 2026.
Meet the Street continues to resonate with audiences through its candid and engaging view of everyday life. The exhibition is available for acquisition, rental, and presentation. The photographs are also available in the Meet the Street hardcover book. Please feel free to contact me for additional information regarding exhibition arrangements or book availability.
